A one-day duration training programme on “Integrated Fish-cum-Poultry Farming” was successfully conducted at Harinmara, Kulai on 05th November 2025, by SMS (Fisheries Science), KVK Dhalai.

One day natural farming training to Natural Farming registered farmers from Ashapurna GP, salema agri sub division and Shibbari VC under Durgachowmuhani agri sub on 13/10/2025 by KVK Dhalai.

A Natural Farming Training Programme was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dhalai (Salema) under the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) for the Natural Farming registered farmers of Jamthum and Simbukchak Village Councils at Jamthum Community Hall.

A total of 41 farmers participated in the training programme, which aimed to promote eco-friendly, low-cost, and sustainable agricultural practices. The sessions focused on key aspects of natural farming including soil health improvement, reduction of chemical inputs, and utilization of locally available bio-formulations such as Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, and Mulching practices.

Experts from KVK Dhalai provided detailed guidance, practical demonstrations, and shared success stories from the district. The farmers were also sensitized about natural farming certification processes and market linkages for naturally grown produce.

One-day training on “Scientific Goat Rearing Practices for Sustainable Livelihood” conducted by KVK Dhalai at Kuchainala GP on 14th Oct 2025.Farmers actively participated and learned about improved management, feeding, and disease prevention in goats for better income generation.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Dhalai organized a farmers’ training programme on “Scientific Cultivation Practices for Enhanced Productivity of Black Gram” at East Dalucherra Gram Panchayat. The training aimed to promote improved production technologies, soil health management, and pest control practices among the local farming community for sustainable pulse cultivation.

A total of 60 participants, including PRI members and progressive farmers, attended the programme with great enthusiasm. The resource persons from KVK Dhalai elaborated on critical aspects such as improved varieties, seed treatment, integrated nutrient and pest management, and post-harvest handling for higher yield and profitability.

During the training, experts from KVK Dhalai highlighted the scientific integration of fish and poultry units for enhanced resource utilization and higher farm income. Participants were sensitized on topics such as pond management, poultry housing, feed formulation, and waste recycling for sustainable production.

As part of the programme, floating fish feed and lime were distributed among the farmers under Fishery FLD (Front Line Demonstration) and OFT (On-Farm Trial) programmes. In addition, vegetable seed kits of improved varieties were also distributed to promote nutritional and diversified farming among rural households.

Today marked the 1st day of the Farmers Training Programme organized under the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) at KVK Dhalai.
